Case Management Supervisor 

Full-time, M-F, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

The Case Management Supervisor will supervise the Case Management Team providing oversight and support to Case Managers to ensure their responsibilities are fulfilled. This position will have an active caseload and be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.

This position serves as point-of-contact for housing and case management services for the Agency. Develops and maintains strong relationships with area landlords. Effectively works with diverse and challenging clientele. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with all other programs in the agency. 

Qualifications

ü  Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required.

ü  Two to five years’ experience providing services to the homeless or related human service experience required.

ü  Minimum 5-years supervisory experience.

ü  Demonstrated supervisory skills providing director and leadership.

ü  Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills essential

ü  Computer literacy needed.

ü  Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with peers to provide sound leadership in a non-profit agency required.

ü Ability to pass the Agency’s road test.

ü  Valid, clean NYS Driver's License and ability to provide own transportation

ü  Must successfully complete a background investigation

Building & Property Technician II

Full-time, M-F, 9:00am - 5:30pm

Position is responsible to ensure that the maintenance, repair, sanitation and cleanliness are kept to a high standard and that all outside and equipment maintenance is timely.

This position is the lead technician and works closely with the Director of Property & Facility Operations.  This position is responsible for giving direction and working in collaboration with the Building & Property Technician I.

The Building and Property Technician II supervises the custodial staff.  S/he is responsible for reporting any problems or concerns regarding his/her work area(s) to their supervisor. S/he has building specific On-Call responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Two year degree or trade school certification in related field.
  • Experience and expertise in building maintenance and property management.
  • Ability to work in an environment that providers services to the homeless and diverse population.
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • Knowledge of building mechanical systems essential.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License for at least one year.
  • Ability to pass the Agency’s road test.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • Knowledge of NYS and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, minimum

Day Program Supervisor

Full-time, M-F, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

The Day Program Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Agency’s drop-in center, supervise the Food Services program and the Day Program Assistant, managing client intake, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and facilitating access to necessary services for individuals utilizing the center.

This position is the Agency’s point person for the Coordinated Entry Program and UniteUs referrals.

The day program includes the Hospitality Center, food programs, and the basic living needs and essential/emergency services. This position is responsible to ensure that all services are efficiently and effectively provided to our guests and residents. This position ensures that all daily data collection is completed and recorded in the appropriate data base, and all required reports are completed and submitted in a timely fashion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field with three to five years experience providing services to the homeless or related human service experience OR Associates Degree in Human Services or related field preferred with Minimum eight years experience providing services to the homeless or in a related human service field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of agencies, programs, and services in the community
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills providing direction and leadership
  • Ability to effectively work with a diverse and challenging client base
  • Valid NYS Driver's License for at least one year
  • No DWI or DWAI within the last three years and the ability to be covered by the Agency's insurance
  • Ability to pass the Agency's road test
  • Must be able to provide own transporation
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation

Overnight Resident Assistant at Lighthouse Facility

Saturday/Sunday 12 am - 8 am

Resident Assistant is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy living environment for the individuals who live at the Lighthouse residence. The Resident Assistant will preserve the dignity and respect of each individual regardless of personal differences. The Resident Assistant will work with residents on a daily basis on basic living skills and activtities, which shall be conducted in a supportive, non-confrontational manner.

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Experience working with a diverse homeless population.

Front Desk/Security ~ BH Main Facility ~ Weekend: Saturday & Sunday Part- Time 

The Front Desk /Security staff will be responsible to answer the switchboard, greet the public and program participants and maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The position is responsible to enter client data into the appropriate HMIS database program when assigned by supervisor and maintain confidentiality at all times. Various shifts available for 24/7 coverage.

First Shift:              8 am – 4 pm

Second Shift:         4 pm – 12 midnight

Third Shift:             12 midnight – 8 am

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Experience working with a diverse homeless population.
